Yesterday we had our final briefing by members of the Antarctic Logistic Centre International (ALCI) for the flight to Antarctica. We had also to deposit our luggage that we will recover in Antarctica.
We leave today. We learned that we will not fly with the Ilyushin 76 TD-90 but with a Boeing 757. This means that we will have windows during the travel ! The Ilyushin will only be used for the cargo.
We were also informed that we will spend at least one night at the Novolazarevskaya (Novo station). Consequently, we will not be at the Princess Elisabeth Station before Wednesday or even Thursday.
